Most people believe that the air of our home can breathe safely. Indoor air, however, sometimes is still dirty than in the open air. Common indoor air pollutants can cause respiratory discomfort, lung disease and COPD exacerbations.

Indoor air pollution is an important risk factor for the development of chronic respiratory diseases.

What is COPD?

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common, preventable and treatable respiratory disease characterized by permanent symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath and sputum.

Most of the smokers say smoking is cool. No matter how much you like, tobacco is harmful to your health. Tobacco contains more than 7,000 toxins and 70 known carcinogens (chemicals that increase the risk of cancer) and can damage almost every organ in the body.

It has been shown that passive smoking or the environmentally friendly tobacco smoke (ETS) contains the same dangerous chemicals as cigarettes, including formaldehyde and carbon monoxide. Women with diabetes are estimated to have 7% of women who use biomass and never incense.

Most of the rural population is still based on biomass fuels. Smoke from such fuels results in hazardous chemicals that can lead to respiratory problems such as COPD if people are exposed for a longer period of time.

Other risk factors for people living indoors are the common biological contaminants such as Mold, pollen, pet insects and dust particles.

Can COPD turn around?

This condition can not be fully translated, but a healthy lifestyle and proper treatment can help fight the disease.

Overall, both men and women are exposed to severe indoor air pollutants and are 2-3 times more likely to diagnose respiratory conditions. People spend most of their time at home. It is therefore essential to take immediate steps to improve indoor air quality.

– Wash the lenet often to get rid of dust. Storage of indoor humidity below 50% also helps.

– Avoid smoking to improve air quality.

– Keeping the nutrients can be a health benefit. Several studies have shown that indoor plants can significantly reduce indoor air pollution.

– Air filter units can be used to improve indoor air quality. The use of LPG instead of biomass fuels can significantly reduce indoor pollution by cooking.

Simple measures to improve the air quality of apartments and offices can significantly reduce the burden of chronic respiratory illnesses.
