A big weekend storm is still well under way

We’ll be leaving Wednesday with cloudy skies, but there should be at least partial sunshine during the afternoon, and as promised, milder temperatures are coming today!

In the mid-40s (6-7 degrees Celsius) it won’t be too hard to pick up the peaks. Southwest, west wind 10-15 mph. By the way, the clouds are moving the slowest at the longest, but hopefully even there you’ll see a few glances before the sun goes down.

Today’s sunrise is at 7:51 and today’s sunset is at 17:01

Wednesday night is slightly cloudy, with low temperatures in the upper 20s (-2 to -1 degrees Celsius).

It will be slightly cloudy on Thursday, with the highest temperatures in the mid-40s (6-7 degrees Celsius). Cloud cover will increase on Thursday evening, with low temperatures in the mid-30s (1 degree Celsius).

Cloudy on Friday but still dry and still mild, highest from mid-40s to high (8-9 degrees Celsius).

Rain, possibly mixed with wet snowflakes, forms on Friday night. Lowest in the top 30s (4 degrees Celsius).

Weekend snowstorm update

Everything stays fine during the big storm of the weekend, although there is a noticeable temperature difference throughout the area. In the far south, the highest 40s reach their highest levels, close to 50 degrees (9 to 10 degrees Celsius), and the temperature cools further north, where only the top 30s north of I-69 ( 4 degrees Celsius).

As such, the farthest northern part of the area can hold a few wet snowflakes mixed with rain during the day, but further south it should only have rain – and plenty. And if you’re going to drive north from Lansing, more snow can affect your trip, so watch the live radar in our app (which shows rain and snow, just like the radar we show on TV).

The rain will turn into snow on Saturday night, and at this point I don’t think we’re going to see much accumulation … it will still be too hot and too wet. Low temperatures in the mid-30s (1-2 degrees Celsius).

The snow showers end early in Sunday, with mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Windy and cooler, constant temperature in the mid-30s (1-2 degrees Celsius).
