Apple’s brand new computers, based on its own unique M1 chip, have received extraordinary ratings for both their high performance and better lives. (Well, almost sterling reviews; The edgeNilay Patel isn’t a fan of the Touch Bar, which still adorns the MacBook Pro, and reviewer Chris Welch says the Mac mini has a really awful speaker. But apart from that …)
Normally, brand new Apple computers would not be in circulation even on Black Friday. But the M1-powered MacBook Pro 13 already had a $ 50 discount on Amazon, and today is giving away the Mac mini, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Adorama and B&H M1 chips.
For the MacBook Air, both B&H and Adorama are taking down $ 100 from both the base configuration and the upgraded model with 512GB of storage. This is the lowest price we have ever seen for the new M1-powered Air.
If you’re looking at a Mac mini, Adorama will sell the base model for $ 639, a $ 60 discount, while the upgraded 512GB storage model will cost $ 839. The base model for B&H is $ 649, and the updated hosting version costs $ 829.
Eventually, both stores will buy $ 100 off the M1-equipped MacBook Pro. If you’re looking for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the standard $ 1299 system is available for $ 1199 in gray or silver. If you upgrade to 512GB of storage, the standard $ 1499 price will drop to $ 1399, again in gray or silver.
Not a bad deal, especially if you’re a Mac fan and want to upgrade. Keep in mind that all of these sales count as “pre-orders,” as both stores expect to be able to get M1 computers soon, but not yet.
By the way, if you want to close this deal, keep in mind that B&H will close its online checkout from 4:30 pm on Friday to 5:45 pm on Saturday. However, according to the website, even though you won’t be able to sign out, you can still add items to your cart or wish list.
