"I'll definitely finish this term," Carson said about the conservative business. “I would be interested if I returned to the private sector because I think it has the same influence, perhaps even more so.

The HUD spokesman did not respond immediately to The Hill's request.

Carson has been in Trump since the beginning of the first cycle in a fast-paced administration. Relatively few scandals were faced by other top trump officers who abolished spending habits, ethical contradictions, and potential conflicts of interest.

At the beginning of 2018, Carson struggled to order a $ 31,000 dining room for his office, blaming his wife for a decision, but eventually canceling his order. The General Inspector of the Ministry also gave an overview of the participation of the Carson family in the Agency.

Carson, a former surgeon, had no prior experience in housing construction or government when Trump appointed him at the end of 2016.

"Ben Carson has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families," said Trump in a statement at the time of Carson's appointment.

So far, at the time of the HUD secretariat, Carson moved to revoke the Obama Housing Policy, which focused on eliminating discrimination and developing decent housing. He worked on hurricane and disaster recovery issues after Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Maria.
