Black Friday this year wasn’t particularly nice in terms of old graphics card and CPU deals, but the CD Project Red Keanu Reeves RPG’s Cyberpunk 2077 is only two weeks away and there were no new sights on the new RTX 3070. about or RTX 3080 cards can be seen anywhere, the window for required PC updates closes fairly quickly.
But I’m here to help. While I can’t enchant one of Nvidia’s new RTX 30 GPUs or any of AMD’s new Ryzen 5000 chips, it does can explains how to build a PC from today’s crop of the Black Friday store that still meets the Cyberpunk 2077 “High” PC specifications (that’s 1440p Ultra settings) and minimum beam tracking requirements. And getting all of that won’t be an absolute fortune either, as I chose parts that cost less than £ 900 / $ 1,000. So let’s jump in and see what my one-stop list has to offer.
First, a brief reminder of what the Cyberpunk 2077 PC requirements for “High” 1440p Ultra settings and “Medium” beam tracking at 1080p actually are, as CD Project Red recently updated the game’s system specification next week. Let’s look at the following to achieve both goals.
Cyberpunk 2077 High PC Requirements and Minimum RT Specifications:
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i7-4790 / AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
RAM: 12 GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
VRAM: 6 GB
ANCESTOR: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Storage: 70 GB SSD
That’s where I built my Cyberpunk 2077 PC, which I’m building on and find one for shoppers in the UK and one for our friends in the US. At the time of writing, my UK compilation totals: 835 poundswhile the American comes in 978 USD.
I have to note that I only cost the table itself here, so you need to consider the monitor and peripherals even if you don’t already have them – although there’s certainly no shortage of choices on this front for a look at our Black Friday game monitor offerings, the For our Black Friday gaming headset deals and Black Friday mouse and keyboard deals.
It’s Black Friday, it’s very possible that some of these deals will disappear as the day progresses, but I’ll do my best to update them if anything runs out. Alternatively, if you don’t want to create your own computer and want an even more powerful table for the Cyberpunk 2077’s beam tracking goodness, this Currys PC World RTX 3070 PC is still in stock for a very affordable £ 1299 and get a much stronger set of parts that definitely worth (at least in my eyes) the extra money.
Then, without further ado, here are my Cyberpunk 2077 PC recommendations for Ultra 1440p settings and Medium, 1080p beam tracking.

This year has not been nice for hunters dealing in CPU deals, but the Ryzen 5 3600X is about the only CPU worth its salt that is still in stock right now. It’s not technically included in the Black Friday deal, but it’s five times cheaper than what you’ll find on Amazon. The box also has its own very good cooler, so you don’t have to consider an expensive tower fan or AIO cooler. If, on the other hand, you want to kick a Ryzen 7 3700X, CCL has to buy it for £ 290.
Okay, I admit, you need to take advantage of MSI’s current cash-back offer to get the motherboard at the quoted price, but listen. Of course, there are cheaper B450 boards that you can buy now – including this £ 55 MSI B450M Pro-M2 MAX board – BUT, only MSI B550 boards come with a free copy of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – which, if you take over the game, is pretty much the same it works at the price. And you get another game that you can use to introduce your brand new computer. Bargain.
While technically not the cheapest RAM offer this Black Friday, this Corsair Vengeance LPX kit is definitely one of the best value for money. I was considering listing a 49 pound Crucial Ballistix kit here, but the slower 2400 MHz clock just wasn’t worth the £ 10 savings. Instead, I decided to splash a little here and go with an old favorite. The Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM may not be very flashy, but good golly, excellent value.
This card is only pre-orderable at the moment, I have to note, but it is by far the cheapest and most reasonable RTX 2060 GPU I can currently find in the UK. Amazon has an Asus Dual Evo model that is available in 4-5 days, but you have to pay quite a bit more for the privilege – £ 370 at the time of writing, which is about £ 35 more than it cost for the last three months. Not ideal, but even then the current GPU situation in general.
The Samsung 500GB 860 Evo is still the best SATA SSD you can buy today, and the price on Black Friday, £ 53, is the lowest ever and is at an all-time low this year during Prime Day. It normally costs around £ 63, although it has come closer to £ 70 for most of the last six months. Alternatively, if you want to save even more money, the 250GB version of the WD Blue SN550 SSD is also a record low, currently at just £ 35.
There’s no huge savings here, but 600W should be more to satisfy the components listed above, and it’s also a semi-modular PSU for easier cable management. 80 Plus Bronze has also been given an energy efficiency rating, which is always worth paying attention to when buying a PSU.
I have a variation of this mid-tower ATX case and it has served extremely well in recent years. Mine doesn’t have a tempered glass window, but it’s simple, elegant, and very easy to install. It has two fans (one front and one rear), but still provides plenty of space for 240mm radiators. top and 360mm coolers at the front if you later see the need for additional fans. There are four SSD bays and two HDD slots on the back.

In my American Cyberpunk 2077, I had to opt for the more powerful Ryzen 7 3700X because the Ryzen 5 3600X is currently rarer than a hen’s tooth. You will need to use Newegg’s current promotional code to receive it for $ 280, so be sure to enter BFRDAY79 when you reach the checkout. In any case, this CPU also comes with its own cooler, which is another plus point to reduce costs.
Here again, I chose another B550 board, just to allow more room for future upgrades. The B550 already supports AMD’s newer Ryzen 5000 series, seeing that cheaper B450 boards will almost certainly require a BIOS update if you decide to upgrade in the future, which not all motherboard manufacturers guarantee. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like this MSI tablet will get the same free Assassin’s Creed Valhalla deal as we do in the UK, but it’s still a reasonably priced tablet that provides all the features you need for a modern PC.
Ah, something classic Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM. You can’t seriously make a mistake with this cost-effective RAM set, and especially if it’s timed at a very nasty 3200MHz. Don’t be put off by the “Intel” stuff in your product name. This RAM kit works just as well with AMD CPUs as Intel’s.
Again, this is the only affordable RTX 2060 card currently available, although it can be ordered later. However, at the time of writing, this MSI GPU is probably the best one to get to the RTX 2060 front, although of course I will do my best to find a cheaper alternative. If you run out of stock, don’t buy another RTX card just for that. Just wait. I promise, it’s worth it.
Like its UK counterpart, the 500GB Samsung 860 Evo has a new record low of $ 54 now, making it a great choice as our primary storage drive. As mentioned above, this is a great SATA SSD and offers a great base for any modern gaming PC.
Slightly less powerful than the PSU chosen for the UK make, but still meets the PSu requirements recommended by Nvidia for the RTX 2060. Plus, it’s still semi-modular, and it’s also a very important 80 Plus Bronze rating for energy efficiency. Over the years, I have had several Corsair PSUs, and all of them have been brilliant.
Computer cases are very personal parts of PC products, but the cool, simple black design of the Cooler Master is likely to suit most people. I admit, not too cyber or punk in this matter, but there are plenty of choices if you want to be a little more showy.
