Deputies seeking ‘likely to be armed’ report after shooting in York County – WSOC TV


YORK COUNTY, SC – Authorities said they were looking for a man who could be armed and dangerous after a shooting in York County on Wednesday.

Deputies said they were called around 16:45 a.m. to shoot several people at a home on Marshall Road.

Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the area and saw two medical helicopters and an ambulance react to the scene before MPs asked our helicopter to stop.

It is not clear at this time whether anyone has been injured.

Shortly after the shooting, the York County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that investigators were looking for a man wearing a black sweater and chamomile pants who was last seen in the area. Officials say it is likely to be armed and dangerous, and residents will have to close their doors and stay inside.

Deputies said they were using the drones and K-9 officers to search for the suspect.

No further details were provided. MEPs told Channel 9 that they would hold a press conference sometime overnight.
