Diego Maradona’s ex-girlfriend was refused entry to the presidential palace on Saturday before dawn on the orders of his former wife, an Argentine football legend.
Rocio Oliva arrived at Casa Rosada at 4:40 a.m. in the hope of saying goodbye to Maradona, whose coffin was in condition, and the security guard behind the gate immediately informed him that the area had not been admitted.
A tear-eyed Oliva’s request for admission remained unheard of and he was instructed to return at 7 a.m. and wait with tens of thousands of online fans waiting for their last respect overnight.

Oliva told the Argentine network of Todos Noticias that she could not explain the reason for Claudia Villafañe’s decision to forbid her to go to the presidential palace through an entrance set up for Maradona’s loved ones and close friends.
