LANSING, Mich. – Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has approached Republican-led legislators to pass a $ 100 million package.
In a letter to lawmakers, Whitmer said the money goes directly to Michigan residents. He also asked to hand over the permanent extension of unemployment benefits as the temporary extension expires at the end of the year.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Michigan has risen to 341,941, with Friday’s update containing 17,162 new cases in the past two days.
