Michigan couple 47 years married to COVID-19 on same day – NBC 7, San Diego


Just two days before Thanksgiving, a Michigan couple, married for 47 years, died in COVID-19.

Both Leslie and Patricia McWaters died at COVID-19 on Nov. 24 after being hospitalized with the virus, according to the obituary. Their deaths were recorded at exactly the same time.

– Beautiful, but so tragic. They’re like Romeo and Juliet, ”their daughter, Joanna Sisk, told NBC’s subsidiary, WDIV. “One didn’t want to be without the other.”

Patricia McWaters, 78, known as Pat as a family of friends and family, was a registered nurse and spent 35 years of her career in the operating room at Foote Allegiance Hospital in Jackson, Michigan, Michigan.

Also from Jackson, known to his friends and family as “LD,” he was 75-year-old truck driver Leslie McWaters and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
