The number of COVID-19-related deaths among New Mexican residents is now 1,428.

In addition to deaths, the state reported 2,107 additional cases of COVID-19. On Tuesday, New Mexico reported a total of 86,247 cases.

KOB 4 found that the tests analyzed in the state’s Tuesday report had a 16.4% positive result.

The state reports that 871 people are currently being treated in hospital for COVID-19. The number may also include individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 outside the state but were hospitalized in New Mexico.

On Tuesday, 29,568 cases of COVID-19 were identified for recovery at the New Mexico Department of Health.
