Pa. Reported more than 11,000 new COVID-19 cases, 187 additional deaths Pennsylvania News

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported an additional 11,406 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the largest daily increase in COVID-19 cases.

This puts the state-wide amount at 386,837.

The state reported 187 additional deaths due to COVID-19, resulting in a state death of 10,944.

4982 people will be hospitalized using COVID-19. Of this number, there are 1,048 patients in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. The majority of patients admitted to hospital were 65 years of age or older, and the majority of deaths occurred in patients 65 years of age or older.

The 14-day moving average trend in the number of daily hospital patients has increased by almost 3,500 since the end of September.

The country-wide positive positivity for the week of November 20-November 26 was 11.7%.
