One of the most sought-after products during the holiday season could be the next-generation console, as inventory on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X was extremely limited.
The consoles sold out almost immediately from online retailers, but the physical stock available in GameStop stores arrived on time for Black Friday. The only way to buy the only console was to wait in line early, and for some dedicated players, this meant securing their place for hours – and in some cases days – by the time their local store was ready to open. .
People were literally camping at some GameStop stores:
While the usual Thanksgiving shopping lines hardly existed today, some people spend the night in front of local GameStop stores, hoping to catch an Xbox or PlayStation.

About 8 players are already queuing at GameStop in Salinas to buy a new PS5 or XBOX, which are of course very super items this holiday season, of course. Get this: THE GAME DISTRIBUTOR IS OPENING AT 7 AM TOMORROW. They will have a long night! Although I understand, I am a player too. pic.twitter.com/of29GoK1DF

While others went so far as to bring their beds with them when they were encouraged by the cold, cold winter air:
Sony faced “unprecedented” demand with the advent of the PS5, when shares sold out almost immediately as soon as they arrived, creating the company’s “largest console launch ever.” In the UK, the experience of buying a PS5 has been augmented by an army of robots that immediately snapped up all available units, allowing spikes to sell consoles at massively high prices.
While the PlayStation 5’s appearance has been boosted by a strong selection of games like Demon’s Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy: Big Adventure and Astro’s Playroom, the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles are also tempting purchases. partly due to the incredible value of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service and the selection of games.
