President-elect Joe Biden was injured Saturday and officials are expected to be examined “with great caution” by an orthopedist.
Biden’s team issued a statement saying the 78-year-old slipped “while playing with his dog, Major, and twisting his ankle.”
“With a lot of caution, an orthopedist will examine it this afternoon,” his office said.
Major Joe and Jill Biden are one of two German Shepherds and he will be the first rescue dog to live in the White House. It was adopted by Bidens in 2018 from the Delaware Humane Society. Their other dog, Champ, since 2008.
