Texas police rescued dozens of human traffickers

HOUSTON, Texas (KWTX) – Police rescued 25 men and a woman after the man was spotted running in his shorts on a cold night while asking for help.

The victims have been released from residences at 4,800 Raven Ridge, Houston police said.

Officers arrived at the scene after receiving a report of a man in shorts running down the street shouting that he had been abducted.

The man said another thirty people were being held hostage in the house.

Officers entered the home and rescued the group.

Houston police said Fort Bend ISD police had opened a gymnasium at a nearby school to allow victims to come out on a cold Thursday night.

Police say the investigator is working with the Department of Homeland Security to learn more about human trafficking.

They were not arrested.
