The expectation of the Rivian R1S electric SUV has been revolving since the introduction of the rig nearly two years ago. It’s not exactly typical of an emerging new electric car manufacturer to arrive on the scene with a product that is essentially salable, with a viable launch plan behind it, a real factory, and other seriousness, but apparently Rivian did the same. Instead of bold claims of smoke, mirrors, and incredible driving distance, Rivian only exposed the latter (more than 300 miles on a full charge!), And mounted it on the very seemingly 2021 R1S and its R1T pick-up brother.

With only months left before the first Rivians reach customers, the automaker is preparing its online configurator for consumers to play with. We took a peek and have to say that the color and interior choice of paint offered by the 2021 Rivian R1S is both fun and appealing.
