The first doses of the coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Oklahoma within 2 weeks


The Oklahoma State Department of Health has confirmed to News 9 that the first doses of the coronavirus vaccine will arrive in the state in less than two weeks.

A spokesman for the department said the Pfizer vaccine is expected to arrive in Oklahoma on Dec. 10-14, followed by the vaccine from Moderna, which will be available around Dec. 22.

The health department said Oklahoma will receive 30,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine and 10,000 doses of Moderna vaccine.

The vaccine will first be delivered to frontline workers as planned by the state.
