The Michigan Electoral Commission certifies Biden’s victory

Joe Biden was declared the winner of 16 voter votes in Michigan. The state’s election council on Monday voted to justify a state vote merger starting in the November election, ending a long-running Trump campaign bid that would destroy election results in the state. A panel of two Republicans and two Democrats voted 3-0 to justify the results. One of the board members, Republican Norm Shinkle, abstained. Earlier this week, Republicans in the Wayne County Electoral Board, home to Detroit, voted to delay verifying results, with one member of that board briefly recommending that votes be thrown out in the state’s largest city before being repackaged. According to the Associated Press, Biden won the Wolverine state with more than 156,000 votes.
