The Oregon nurse was granted leave after sending TikTok, boasting that she was not wearing a mask

According to her employer, the Oregon nurse, who boasted at TikTok that she did not wear a mask outside of her work, was placed on administrative leave, causing a retreat on the platform.

Salem Health said the nurse, also known as “LoveIsKind05,” “cavalier ignored the severity of the pandemic,” the hospital said on Facebook on Saturday.

“This video has caused outrage among members of the affected community. We would like to thank those who have brought this to our attention and we can assure you that we are taking this very seriously. This individual is not in favor of Salem Health and has been given administrative responsibility. Leave until investigation, ”said Salem Health.

The nurse, who said she was working on oncology, used an excerpt from the 2000 film, “How Grinch Stole Christmas,” and said her facial reactions in the video responded when her staff [sic] find out I’m still traveling, don’t wear a mask when I’m out and let my kids play.

Both the video and the “LoveIsKind05” account appear to have been deleted, but a duet with the video, a TikTok service, is still available on the platform, allowing other users to show their reaction or response. The person sending the duet doesn’t seem to have a connection to “LoveIsKind05”.

Salem Health said it wanted to reassure the public that the nurse’s statement “does not reflect the views of Salem Health or the hard-working and dedicated carers who work here”.

“Salem Health believes we all need to do our part to protect the vulnerable and prevent the rapid spread of Covid-19. This includes requiring staff, patients and visitors to follow CDC and other guidelines for wearing masks. and social distance “. statement readable.
