United Airlines Holdings Inc. launched charter flights on Friday to deliver Pfizer Inc.’s Covid-19 vaccine for rapid distribution if the shots are approved by regulators, people skilled in the case say.
The initial flights will form one of the links in the global supply chain that addresses the logistical challenges of distributing Covid-19 vaccines. Pfizer has laid the groundwork for rapid progress by obtaining approval from the Food and Drug Administration and other regulators worldwide.
