Wednesday wash in the works

DETROIT – The winter mix over the Detroit subway will be a smooth rain preparation this Wednesday.

The slight pressure of moisture and light air continues this morning, which means the rain is near 40F. Be careful this morning and be prepared to face nasty travel conditions all day.

The rain showers become smoother and a little heavier in the middle of the morning and all afternoon. We need to get solid quarter-centimeter rain, and this is again a minor concern for people traveling. The peaks will eventually be around 50F, overcast in the evening and early night.

Sunset: 5:04 p.m.

Model data is beginning to share about the timing of Thursday’s rains. Throughout the week, the data showed dry conditions for Thanksgiving until 1 or 2 p.m. By now, some data suggest prolonged, light showers until 8 a.m. or longer. We will certainly be watching this with the American Thanksgiving Parade in downtown Detroit. No, we can’t go, but we can all enjoy a slice of Michigan comfort in the form of The Parade on Local 4. The sky will be mostly cloudy, in the 40s at a pace that lasts until morning. Have fun!

On Thanksgiving, during the afternoon, we arrive in the low, and perhaps mid-50s, with gusts of wind turning up to 7-15 km / h and some clouds.

Black Friday seems dry in the low 50s and Saturday gets cooler with afternoon sun and just shy of 50F. Sunday will be a sunny day, but only in the 40s, before the winter mix starts early next week. The Local4Casters app is always the best weapon and tool when we are preparing for our ever-changing weather and it is free!
