The PS5 is great but impossible to get. This is a problem for gamers during the holiday season, as Walmart, Best Buy and GameStop are teasing both the PS5 and Xbox on Black Friday week, with the stock seemingly arriving at speed of light and running out.
In summary, Sony PlayStation 5 on November 12, it officially dropped in the U.S., with an online release only, and sold out at all regular retailers, including Target, Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy. This applies to both versions of the PS5: the $ 400, digital-only version and the $ 500 model with Blu-ray are almost impossible to obtain. (If you have good broadband and don’t need optical discs — Blu-ray movies, used games, or old PS4 games — we recommend go with the $ 400 one.)
