SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Witnesses at the Arden Fair Mall said they heard several shots and then had to rush to get out into the open as a result of a shooting in which one person died and another was wounded.
The cell phone video shows terrified shoppers going up to the Black Friday shopping mall at an entrance to discover the deadly shooting scene.
Moments earlier, occupants were forced to flee after the noise of the shots.
“We started hearing 10 shots and then I said,‘ We have to go back because it’s just crazy. “We were traumatized, we didn’t know what to do,” Witness Imya Price said.
A witness who says he worked indoors said: “It was very pointless to hurt the injured and lost. No one has to worry about being shot if he goes to work or goes shopping with his family” https://t.co / udcspTUcvP

Price said he and his little sister heard the shots as they walked into the restaurant. He was safe outside, but disappointed.
“We already have an epidemic like people are behaving insanely. You ruin it for all of us. It’s Black Friday, people just want to shop, go home, be safe, ”he said.

The people working in the mall had to bring themselves out as well as the customers. Antwon Martinez said he tried to reassure people and get them out.
“A couple of people tried to hide in the bathroom and stuff, and I just made sure to get out of the store like down the hall, up the stairs, and outside,” he said.
A chaplain on the scene comforted people who were clearly upset by the Friday night event.
